Therapy for Adults in Houston, Tx

It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out.

You probably thought you would have it all figured out by now…and yet, here we are. Even as adults, life doesn’t come with a manual and checkboxes. Between work, relationships, and trying to “keep it together,” it’s easy to lose sight of who you are and what you need. Therapy offers a space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself without judgement.

Common Reasons Adults Start Therapy:

  • You feel anxious, restless, or constantly “on.”

  • You want to understand your emotions, rather than being ruled by them.

  • You feel depressed, even when everything seem to be going “right.”

  • You keep ending up in one-sided relationships that are draining and unfulfilling.

  • Your old ways of coping just aren’t working anymore.

  • Life doesn’t look like or feel like what you expected it to at this point.

How Therapy Can Help:

Some benefits include:

  • Feeling calmer and more confident in your decisions

  • Setting boundaries without guilt

  • Breaking old people-pleasing and perfectionistic tendencies

  • Developing a more compassionate inner voice

  • Creating relationships that actually feel good and safe

Therapy gives you a space to pause, unpack, and understand yourself without judgement. Together, we’ll look at where your patterns come from and help you build boundaries and develop the elf-trust you’ve been missing.

What Sessions Are Like

A Space That Feels Human

Therapy with me isn’t stiff or clinical. It’s real, honest and a little bit messy (in the best way). You can show up exactly as you are whether that’s overwhelmed, quiet, chatty, or unsure where to start and I’ll meet you there.

This is your space to take of the “I’m fine” mask and actually take a breath. You don’t have to perform or have everything figured out. Therapy is where we make sense of what’s been heavy and find what feels like you again.

What You Can Expect From Me

I’m warm, relational, and collaborative. That means:

  • I see therapy as a conversation, not a hierarchy

  • I’ll always invite your feedback. If something feels off or we need to adjust, let’s talk about it!

  • I’ll gently challenge you when it helps you to grow (let’s be real, we all get in our own way sometimes), but never push you before you’re ready.

  • Sometimes there will be laughter, other times tears, but we are keeping it real the whole way through.

Session Structure

Therapy is 50 minutes long - a standing time each week, just for you!

  • First Session (Intake): We’ll slow down and get to know each other, and talk about what’s bringing you in. If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry, I can help guide us as we go. We will talk about what’s working, what’s not, and establish a game plan.

  • Ongoing Sessions: We will meet weekly (at least at first), to build momentum and safety in the therapeutic relationship. As you grow more confident , we might space sessions out or adjust together. Every 4-6 sessions, I like to check in to make sure we are on the right track and see if we need to make any adjustments (more or less of “this” or “that”) to help you achieve your goals.

  • Where We Meet: I offer both in-person sessions at my Houston office and virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Texas.

A cozy corner with a light-colored sofa, two blue pillows, an open book, a gray blanket, and a brown rug on a tiled floor.

The goal of therapy isn’t to “fix you” or make all your problems go away. It’s to help you understand yourself and trust that you can handle challenges that come your way.

Fees and Insurance

Session Rates:
• 50-minute individual session: $150
• Initial intake session (60 minutes): $175

I am a self-pay therapist and do not bill insurance directly.
However, many clients are able to use their out-of-network benefits to reduce their cost of therapy.

I partner with Thrizer, a service that handles reimbursement for you. You pay your session fee upfront, and Thrizer files and manages the claim. Many clients receive $40–$120 per session back, depending on their plan.
